happy holidays!
hey everyone..merry christmas (though it’s passed) and have a happy new year. i spent my christmas with a friend and we watched black caesar with his cat on my lap.
HIS CAT IS SOOOOO CUTE. seriously. it’s a grey kitty, to be precise. i don’t know the type, but it looks really REALLY sad. like, it’s just a naturally sad looking grey kitty. and so i asked my friend why he got her and he was like,
“i was passing by a pet store and i saw the kitty. she looked really sad, so i bought her hoping to cheer her up. it’s been two weeks since i’ve bought her and i’ve come to realise that she just looks that way…unless she’s sad that i bought her.”
“maybe it’s sad because you’ve gotten her for two weeks and she still doesn’t have a name?”
“maybe.”
so we come up with a list of names. he’s more into greek mythology, so he came up with names like Juno, Daphni, Dido, while i came up with more traditional names like Sophie, Jane, Susan… we came to a compromise of Daphnie, because it’s a mix of delphi and sophie, though i don’t think any ordinary person would realise that as it’s only the spelling which is really actually changed…whatever.
so we call the grey kitty daphnie and it responds to it..kinda. we kinda stare at it, and it realises that we’re calling her.
it’s not looking any happier though. maybe threats will work… “LET’S PUT A SMILE ON THAT FACE!” no?? okay, well, at least it has a name. good times. happy new ear! i’m sick, so i don’t know if i’ll be happy. hopefully the illness will pass by tomorrow and i will have a happy new year. bye now.
